Saw a redtail hawk today. walking through the park, noticed a hawk sitting on a lamp post. there was a hummingbird nearby that didn’t like the hawk in the area. The hummingbird was hovering about 10 feet above the hawk, then would climb up to 60 or 70 feet, then do a dive bomb at the hawk. He’d loop up and stop about 10 feet above the hawk. hover there for a bit, then do the same thing over again. Right when he was about 2 feet from the hawk, he’d let out a little ‘bzzz’. It was quite entertaining.
