This is a little hard to see. The light was fading and I backed off to show the whole area.

On the extreme upper right, you can see a bald eagle sitting in a tree. On the left, about a third of the way down is another. Trust me on this (or click the pic for a full-size image).
In the water at the bottom of the pic are mainly cormorants. A few geese and ducks may be mixed in with them.
The eagles sit up in the tree just watching, every once in a while, one or both will fly right over the birds in the water and try to snag one. I’ve seen both flying over the birds at the same time. If they are unsuccessful, they’ll retreat back to their perch and try again later. most times, right before the eagles get there, the birds dive under water.

Saw this banded Canada Goose today.  The shots where I can see the leg band doesn’t yield any lettering on it.   The seam is facing me in all the pics where it’s visible.

But did take a walk by the river. The usual gulls, ducks and geese were about.
Two sets of goslings were out with the adults. One of the gulls got a little too close to the goslings, one of the Canada Goose adults hissed and made sure the gull kept it’s distance.
